Silk’n Intense Pulsed Light Flash&Go Hair Removal Device

Overview of the Study:

This study was performed to evaluate the safety and the effectiveness of an at-home intense pulsed light (IPL) hair removal device. In this case, the Silk’n Flash&Go IPL Device was used. In the study, twenty women were selected to perform a series of treatments with the device at intervals of 2 weeks on non-facial areas, including legs, forearms, underarms, and others. As part of the study, photographs of treated and non-treated areas were taken for reference and comparison. Hair counts were obtained before and after treatments, and at regular monthly intervals. Patient experiences and any observed side-effects were also recorded.

Silk’n Infinity Intense Pulsed Light Hair Removal Device

Overview of the Study:

In this clinical study, the Silk’n Infinity IPL hair removal device was tested for effectiveness on darker skin tones. 15 women participated in the study, with skin tones of type V and VI and with dark terminal hair tone. Treatments using the Silk’n Infinity were administered 6 times at two-week intervals, and results were carefully documented to compare pre-treatment appearance to the appearance after one month, and to the appearance at the conclusion of the final treatment.

Overview of the Study:

The authors set forth to produce a clinical study focused on the Silk’n SensEpil intense pulsed light at-home hair removal device. This study was designed to determine the effectiveness and safety of this device, and was conducted among ten adults, with skin tones ranging from I-IV, and dark hair on non-facial areas of the body. Treatments were performed by clinical staff members that had been trained on proper use of the device, and took place on a bi-weekly schedule. Each subject received 4-6 treatments, and progress was monitored with manual hair counts, as well as with photographs pre-treatment and at each treatment session.

Dr. Zelickson obtained a BA degree in Molecular & Developmental Biology from the University of Colorado, an MD from the Mayo Medical School, and a residency at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine. About the Study

Doctor Michael H. Gold, BSc Julie A. Biron and Brynne Thompson RN, CCRP complete a clinical evaluation of a Silk’n hair removal device for patients with unwanted facial hair. Seventeen patients initially signed up to participate in the trial; however, two dropped out. Patients received six biweekly treatments with the at home intense pulsed light device in the facial areas below the level of the cheekbone. Follow-up visits were made at one and three months following the last treatment.

Using the Silk’n SensEpil at home hair removal device, Dr Mulholland conducted an in-depth clinical study on how effective the device was for removal of hair on the face. 42 test subjects participated in the study, and self-treatments were administered on their face, below the cheek line, with most treated areas being the upper lip or chin. Hair counts were performed both before and after treatments, with details analyzed by a blinded third party.

Overview of the Study:

This expansive study included 110 subjects over a 12-month period to evaluate the performance and effectiveness of the Silk’n intense pulsed light hair removal devices. This study focused on four common areas of the body for hair removal; lower legs, underarms, arms, and bikini area. Each subject performed the treatments themselves at home, but only after the first treatment was performed by a trained hair removal clinician to provide training and explanation of proper use. Hair counts were used to monitor progress before and after treatments.

Overview of the Study:

In order to evaluate the effectiveness of the Silk’n Blue acne device, the authors conducted a study over the course of 3 months among 12 subjects with mild to moderate inflammatory acne vulgaris. A secondary objective was to determine the ability for the average person to easily understand the proper method of use for the device. Each subject receive eight treatments over a 4-week period, with follow-up evaluations at 1-month and 3-month intervals & photographic documentation to track progress & results.

Overview of the Study:

Conducted with the purpose of determining the effectiveness of the Silk’n Blue acne device to reduce the number of inflammatory acne lesions in patients. Performed over a 12-week period, this study consisted of 15 subjects (12 women and 3 men) who regularly used the Silk’n Blue Acne Eliminator Device as part of their acne treatments. Photographs were taken before and after each treatment to monitor progress, and lesion counts were taken in follow-up review sessions at 1-month and 3-month intervals.

Overview of the Study:

To test the effectiveness and safety of the Silk’n FaceFX Anti-Aging device, as well as the usage compliance. The study focused on determining the ability for the RF and LED energies produced by the device to improve the appearance of the skin, as well as reduce wrinkles around the eyes and lips. 30 participants were involved in this study, which took place over a 6-week time period. Treatments were performed every other day, and there were two maintenance treatments performed, one at 1 month and one at 2 months. Subjects monitored their own progress, and compared results prior to the start of the study and again at three months after the treatments.

Overview of the Study:

This study was conducted at three different clinics simultaneously in the USA and in Canada, and consisted of 50 participants who had three different sites treated (forehead, left cheek and right cheek) for a total of 150 unique treatment sites. The intent of the study was to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of the Silk’n FaceFX anti-aging device, which uses RF heating technology for the purposes of tightening the skin and reducing rhytides. Bi-weekly at-home treatments were performed for a total of 10 weeks after the initial in-clinic training session on the use of the device. A follow-up evaluation was performed 1 month after the final treatment.

Dr. Hellman obtained her MD degree in 1989 after premed at Wellesley College and attending Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. Overview of the Study:

To evaluate the performance and efficacy of the Silk’n FaceFX Anti-Aging Device, 40 subjects between the ages of 30 and 55 participated in this study. Subjects presented several common age-related visual aspects on their faces including large pores, wrinkles, age spots, and fine lines. Over the course of four weeks, subjects received 8 total treatments, with assessments performed prior to the start of the study, as well as at 1, 2, and 3-month intervals. Final results were determined by an independent blinded consultant.
